Biography
2014-15: Wingfield earned two all-state honors after finishing sixth overall in the 1,650-yard freestyle and fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay at the UNYSCSA / Empire 8 Championships. She participated in numerous events including freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, individual medley and relays. Wingfield finished second in the 100-yard freestyle on Jan. 31 at Union with a time of 11:04.34.
2013-14: Wingfield earned two all-state honors after finishing sixth overall in the 500-yard freestyle and fifth overall in the 1,650 freestyle at the Empire 8 / UNYSCSA Championships. She competed in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and relays during the season. Wingfield finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle on Feb. 1, 2014 and took the top spot in the 200-yard backstroke on Jan. 25, 2014.
High School: Wingfield graduated from Northampton High School where she was named captain of the swim team her senior year. She was also named to the All-Western Massachusetts First Team.
Personal: Miranda is a physical therapy major and is the daughter of Sherry and Ed Wingfield.
