2013: Bates saw action in five games and made five appearances as a pinch hitter. She was named Ithaca's representative on the Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year team, which recognizes one player from each team for upholding the conference's initiatives in competing with honor and integrity. | 2013 Game-by-game statistics

2012: Bates appeared in 13 games as a sophomore and started three. She went one for two with a walk and two runs scored in a win at Elmira on April 7. | 2012 Game-by-game statistics

2011: Bates played her freshman season at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Tappanzee High School, Bates lettered in each of her four seasons as a member of the softball team. She was a three-time all-league selection, earned all-section honors as a senior and received the coach’s award as a junior. Bates was also named to the Rockland County All-Star team in 2009.

Personal: A physical therapy major, Bates is the daughter of John and Suzanne Bates.
