Biography

2013-14: Thomas competed in the breaststroke and individual medley during his senior season. He finished second in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke on Feb. 15, 2014. Thomas was also named Ithaca’s representative on the Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year Team.  

2012-13: As a junior, Thomas took third in the 50-yard breaststroke against Brockport, finishing in 29.55. Thomas also secured a top-five finish against RPI in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke. 

2011-12: As a sophomore, Thomas was an all-state finisher in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events. Thomas moved up on the Ithaca record boards in several categories. He stands in the top-10 on the Ithaca record board in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and 400-yard individual medley.

2010-11: Thomas contributed right away as a freshman with all-state finishes in the 400-yard individual medley (fourth) and the 200-yard breaststroke (fifth).

High School: A 2010 graduate of Carmel High School, Thomas swam four years on the varsity swim team for coach Chris Plumb. He was a team captain.

Personal: A student in the exploratory program, Cheffy is the son of Charles and Leslie Thomas.
