Biography
2014-15: Papaleo was an Empire 8 and UNYSCSA Runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle relay, earning her all-state and all-conference recognition. Papaleo participated in numerous events including freestyle, butterfly and relays. She finished third in the 200-yard freestyle on Oct. 18, 2014 with a time of 2:06.14.
2013-14: Papaleo was part of the 200-yard medley relay team that took first among conference opponents at the Empire 8 / UNYSCSA Championship to earn an E8 title. She was a two-time all-conference selection and earned two all-state nods after finishing second overall in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays at the state meet. She competed in a variety of events during her freshman season. Papaleo earned a number of top finishes in relay events throughout the season.
High School: Papaleo graduated from New Hartford Senior High School where she swam for coach Tom Wells. She won the Section III Championship in the 50-freestyle in 2010.
Personal: Cassie is a biochemistry major and is the daughter of James and Sandra Papaleo.
