Emily Hoskinson

Biography

2012-13: Hoskinson earned all-state honors with a seventh place finish in the 200-yard backstroke at the UNYSCSA Championships. She finished first in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:21.59 against William Smith. She also finished first in the 100-yard backstroke at Alfred on Jan. 26. 

2011-12: Hoskinson earned all-state recognition in both backstroke events for the second-straight year as a sophomore. She placed fourth in the 200 back and fifth in the 100 back at the UNYSCSA Championships. She moved into fifth on the Ithaca record board in the 100 back with a time of 58.95 seconds.

2010-11: An immediate contributor to the Ithaca lineup, Hoskinson earned all-state honors in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke and was also Empire 8 runner-up in the 100 back at the season-ending championships. Her time of 2:06.71 in the 200-yard backstroke ranks third all-time at Ithaca.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, Hoskinson swam 13 years at the club level and four years at high school. She earned the team's Hardest Worker Award and was named as the most valuable swimmer and was a team captain. Hoskinson was part of section championship teams and competed at the state meet. She also participated in crew.

Personal: A clinical exercise science major, Emily is the daughter of Kathy and Richard Hoskinson.
