Ithaca College Athletics

2013-14: Gawrys was a two-time Empire 8 champion after placing first among conference opponents in the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay at the Empire 8 / UNYSCSA Championships. She earned five all-conference honors and six all-state honors after finishing second in the 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay, and 200-yard freestyle relay, sixth in the 400-yard individual medley and seventh in the 1,650-yard freestyle. Her 800-yard freestyle relay team's first place finish also earned a UNYSCA title. 

2012-13: Gawrys earned four All-UNYSCSA honors after placing seventh in the 200-yard freestyle, second as a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, second as a member of the 200-yardmedley relay team and third as a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team. She was named the Ithaca representative on the Empire 8 Sportsmen Of The Year Team and earned All-Empire 8 honors after finishing as runner up in the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. 

2011-12: Gawrys participated in the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships as a sophomore and earned all-America status as a member of both the 200- and 400-yard medley relays. The 200-yard medley relay ranks third all-time at Ithaca. Gawrys earned all-state honors individually in the 200-yard freestyle, and 200-yard indiividual medley and she ranks in the top-10 on Ithaca's record boards in the 200 and 400 IM as well as the 200-yard freestyle.

2010-11: As a freshman, Gawrys earned four all-state finishes and two Empire 8 runner-up distinctions as a member of relay teams at the season-ending championship meet.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Ballston Spa High School, Gawrys swam one year in high school for coach Ted Snyder in freestyle events and was named as the team's most dedicated swimmer. She competed 10 years in club swimming for the YMCA Saratoga Stingrays, and competed in the YMCA nationals in April, 2010.

Personal: A business administration major, Elizabeth is the daughter of Ed and Michele Gawrys.
