2014-15: Bangs was an Empire 8 Champion in the 100-yard backstroke and a three-time Empire 8 Runner-up in her senior season. She earned five all-state honors, including a UNYSCSA title in the 100-yard backstroke. Bangs earned three UNYSCSA Runner-up honors, finishing second overall at the state meet in the 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard backstroke. She participated in numerous events, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, individual medley and relays. Bangs set the program record in the 100-yard backstroke (57.00), ranks second all-time in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.72), fifth all-time in the 200-yard IM (2:08.34) and ninth all-time in the 400-yard IM (4:43.00). Bangs was also named a CSCAA Scholar All-American. 

2013-14: Bangs was a three-time all-conference selection in her junior season. She was part of the 200-yard medley relay team that earned a conference title at the UNYSCSA / Empire 8 Championships. Bangs was also a five-time all-state selection after finishing fourth overall in the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard backstroke and second overall in the 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard backstroke.

2012-13: Bangs earned all-state honors in a number of events, placing second in the 200-yard backstroke, the 400-yard medley relay and the 200-yard medley relay at the UNYSCSA Championships. She also took fifth in the 200-yard individual medley and third in the 100-yard backstroke. Bangs, a CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All American, was named to the All-Empire 8 Second Team after finishing second in the conference in the 400-yard medley relay, the 200-yard medley relay, the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard backstroke.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Westfield High School, Bangs earned four varsity letters under coach Jeff Knight. She was a member of a state champion team in 2008, 2010 and 2011 and a captain of the 2011 squad as a senior.

Personal: A student in the pre-professional program, Bangs is the daughter of David and Kristy Bangs.
