2014-15: Towner earned one all-state selection in the 800-yard freestyle relay at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships. He participated in numerous events for the Bombers including freestyle, butterfly and relays. Towner finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:18.03 in a tri-meet against Hamilton, Hartwick and Geneseo.

2013-14: Towner competed in freestyle, butterfly and relay events during the season. He had the best 1,000-yard freestyle time (10:05.68) on the roster after finishing third overall on Feb. 1, 2014. He also finished third overall in the 100-yard butterfly on Jan. 25, 2014.    

2012-13: Towner was named a College Swimming Coaches Association First Team Scholar All-America selection, making him one of five Bombers to earn the honor. He finished in second place at the Empire 8/UNYSCSA Championship in the 800-yard freestyle relay, earning him all-state honors and an All-Empire 8 Second Team selection. Towner finished in fifth place in the 200-yard freestyle at the UNYSCSA Championships, also earning an eighth place finish in the 500-yard freestyle.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Lansing High School, Towner, competed for coach Reed Dewey for six seasons and earned one varsity letter. As a senior, he finished eighth in the 200 free at the New York state meet. Towner was a captain for three seasons and named most improved twice.

Personal: A psychology major, he is the son of Frank and Melanie Towner.
