RIO de JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Add another gold medal to Ithaca College Athletics Hall-of-Famer Meghan Musnicki's '05 total as the former member of the women's crew team earned her second Olympic gold after helping the women's eight cross the finish in 6:01.49 – two seconds faster than the silver medal winning crew from Great Britain.
Musnicki, who has now collected 18 medals in international competition, including 12 gold, has helped the women's eight cement themselves as a dynasty, having taken the top spot in the last two Olympic games and five World Rowing Championships overall.

Emily Morley, also had a strong showing in the single sculls last week in her first Olympic Games. Morley, who became the first rower, male or female, to represent the Bahamas in the sport of rowing, began her time in Rio with a sixth place finish in her opening heat, which qualified her to compete in the repechage. Morley improved her time by nearly a minute earning her a fifth place finish and a spot in the E/F semifinals where she earned one of three spots in the E finale. The former co-captain of the women's crew team concluded her time in Rio with a fifth place finish in her respective final.

RIO de JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Two former standouts from the Ithaca College rowing program are due to appear in the 2016 Olympic Games later this week at Lagoa Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Emily Morley '16 and Meghan Musnicki '05 will both seek Olympic glory with Morley representing the Bahamas and Musnicki rowing for the United States for the second time in her career.
An All-American during her time at Ithaca, Morley, who will be competing in a single scull, will hit the water Saturday, August 6 with heats beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Musnicki, who was a member of the United States national team from 2010-2015, is no stranger to the Olympic stage, having won a gold medal during the 2012 Games in London as part of the women's eight. One of the most decorated rowers in the sport today, Musnicki has earned 17 medals in international competition including 11 gold medals. Most recently, the Naples, N.Y. native won gold at the 2016 World Rowing Cup II and has guided the United States to five gold medals at the World Rowing Championships. Ithaca College Athletics Hall of Fame will look to add to her already impressive medal total beginning on Monday, August 8 at 10:30 a.m. with opening heats in the women's eight.
