ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior Jordan Schemm of the Ithaca College football team added another accolade to his impressive 2016 campaign, as he was named Honorable Mention All-American as a return specialist by d3football.com on December 16.

Schemm, who has already garnered Special Teams Player of the Year for the Empire 8 all-region honors by d3football.com and ECAC, and was a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection, can now bolster his résumé with an All-America nod.

The Coral Springs, Fla. native ranked second nationally in punt return average at 17.1 yards and was 18th in kick return average  at 27.7 yards. Schemm brought back 15 punts for 257 yards, including one touchdown on a 60-yard scamper against Morrisville on October 22. He also had a 51-yard punt return against Buffalo State on November 7. In kick returns, he totaled 443 yards on 16 attempts, with a long of 59 coming against Hobart on September 17.

Last season, Schemm led all of Division III in kick return average, with an average of 37.6 per return.
