KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has released its All-Region selections with three members of the Ithaca College women's soccer team receiving recognition for their contributions during the 2016 season.  Senior Aimee Chimera was tabbed to the East Region's Second Team while classmates Jocelyn Ravesi and Taylor Baranowsky were each named to the Region's Third Team.

Chimera, who has now been named All-Region in each of the last three seasons, started all 18 games for the Bombers and anchored a defensive corps that surrendered just over one goal per game this season including nine shutouts overall.

A three-time All-Conference selection and the 2015 Defensive Player of the Year in the Empire 8, Chimera has also proven to be a standout in the classroom as she was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Team last month.

In all, the Pipersville, Pa. native started all 80 games over the last four years and was named to the Empire 8 Championship's All-Tournament Team three times including this year.
Fresh off her first career All-Conference selection, Ravesi had a breakout season as a senior.  The Fulton native led the team and ranked third among all conference players in points, (33) and shots (71) while her 13 goals were fourth-most.  Ravesi also tied for the team lead with seven assists on the year.

The senior forward, who was named the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week on October 24, started every game this season and notched four game-winning goals in 952 minutes of action.  Ravesi scored two goals or more in a game four times during the 2016 campaign including a four goal outburst against Elmira, which tied the program record for most goals scored in a single game.  On three occasions, Ravesi was credited with five points or more.

She concludes her time in an Ithaca uniform having played in 58 career games totaling 47 points overall.

Baranowsky, who has now been named All-Region twice in her career, posted career-highs this season in goals (five), assists (two), points (12) and shots (37).  The senior midfielder ranked fourth on the team in scoring and started all 18 games this season.  Her biggest moment came in the 95th minute of the Empire 8 Championship semifinal after heading in the game-winning goal to lift the Bombers to a 1-0 win over Nazareth and a spot in the title game.  As a result, she was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Moorestown, N.J. native, who received an Honorable Mention All-Conference by the Empire 8 all four seasons, started 78 games for Ithaca since 2013 and concludes her career with 31 points on 12 goals and seven assists.

The Bombers wrapped up the season with an 11-5-2 overall record, which included a 5-2-1 mark in conference play.  Ithaca, which secured the third seed in the Empire 8 Championship, defeated second-seeded Nazareth College, 1-0, with an overtime goal in the championship's semifinals before falling short in the title game.
