ITHACA, N.Y. –Â
The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association announced its All-America selections Monday evening. Ithaca senior
Jennie Peterson was honored with a CRCA Second Team selection, marking the 30th Bomber to earn the honor since 2000.
Peterson, a native of Columbia, N.J., was recently named a 2015 NIRC All-Star. She also earned a spot on the NIRC Stewards All-Academic Team. Peterson rowed in the varsity 8 this season, most recently occupying the seventh seat at the ECAC Championships. Peterson, who participated in sculling during the fall season, has been a member of the varsity team for three-straight seasons.
Selection criteria was based on strength of schedule, regular-season record, end-of-season regatta results, nomination rank, coach's comments and a 2,000-meter erg score. The award recognizes the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains at NCAA Division III institutions. The student-athlete must have rowed at least 75 percent of the season's races in the varsity boat.
