Box Score CORTLAND, N.Y. – For the third consecutive year the game between the Ithaca College men's lacrosse team and Cortland went to overtime, and for the third year in a row Cortland prevailed. The 15th-ranked Red Dragons scored 2:33 into the second overtime period and completed a rally to win 11-10 over 10th-ranked Ithaca at the Cortland Stadium Complex.

James Manilla scored five goals for Ithaca, and the Bombers are 8-3 on the season. Cortland is 5-4 on the year.

Ithaca led 3-0 after the opening quarter on two goals by
James Manilla and one from
Eli Gobrecht. The Bombers dominated possession in the opening 15 minutes and held a 12-3 advantage in shots and 10-5 advantage in ground balls.

After Cortland evened the score 4-4, Ithaca face-off specialist
Grant Osadchey won the draw, drew a cross-checking penalty against Cortland, and then retained possession. He went to the cage and fed
Steve Danylyshyn at the left post for a close-range goal. The penalty was enforced against Cortland, Ithaca won the next draw and converted a man-up goal by Manilla to lead 6-4.

The Bombers closed the second quarter with a man-up opportunity and Manilla scored his fourth of the quarter to give Ithaca a 7-4 lead at halftime.

Cortland scored twice in the third quarter, and Ithaca's lone goal of the quarter was a transition goal
Jack Shumway, assisted by Danylyshyn, and Ithaca led 8-6 after three.

Two Ithaca goals in a span of 58 seconds from Manilla and Januszkiewicz extended the Bombers' lead to 10-6 with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Cortland went on a run of four-straight goals to tie the game 10-10. The game-tying goal came from T.J. deLyra with 1:32 left in the fourth quarter.

Cortland won the following draw and called a timeout with 51 seconds left. One shot attempt was wide and another was saved by Ithaca goalkeeper
Scott Sidnam in the closing seconds.

Ithaca won the faceoff to start overtime and called timeout. Manilla made a move to the cage from behind and his sharp-angle shot was saved. Cortland set up its offensive possession with 1:42 left in the overtime period, but again shot wide once and had another saved by Sidnam.

In the second overtime period, Ithaca gained possession as Gobrecht won the draw. Ithaca got a close-range shot from Danylyshyn that was saved. Cortland went down the field and converted the game-winning goal.

Sidnam made 11 saves in the contest. Januszkiewicz had two goals and an assist, Shumway had a goal and two assists. Gobrecht had three caused turnovers and four ground balls for Ithaca.
