ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team earned its first victory of the season by outscoring Rhode Island College at the Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational at Hill Center. Ithaca's team score was 181.050, and Rhode Island College totaled 169.600. The four-team meet was won by Brockport with a 187.150, and Springfield was second with 184.550.

Ithaca's best individual finish came from freshman
Hannah Donnelly, who placed first on the balance beam with a career-best score of 9.5. She tied for first on the event with Lily Jagodzinski of Brockport.
Kendra Balcerak (9.275) and
Maggie Nieto (9.15) were sixth and seventh on beam, helping Ithaca to a team score of 45.050 on beam.

Ithaca started the meet on vault and had a team score of 45.825. It was the highest-scoring rotation for the Bombers on Sunday.
Rachel Lee was eighth for Ithaca with a score of 9.35.

On uneven bars, Ithaca's
Megan Harrington placed sixth with a 9.375 and
Rachel Lee was 10th with a 9.175.

Ingrid Calfee was Ithaca's top finisher on floor exercise, as she placed ninth with a score of 9.25.
Megan Harrington was the only Ithaca gymnast to compete in all-around and was third overall with a total of 36.225.

Following the meet, Ithaca senior
Valerie Cohen was honored as part of senior day activities. Cohen is a four-year member of the team and is a team captain. She has competed primarily in vault and floor exercise throughout her career.
