ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team competed in its first home meet of the season and increased its score once again with a team total of 184.950 on Sunday afternoon at Ben Light Gymnasium. Brockport scored 187.325 to win the dual meet. Ithaca's total was a season-best score in team competition, and a more than two-point improvement over its season-opening score at Ursinus.

Ithaca's highest event score came on vault, where the Bombers scored a season-best 46.650.
Megan Harrington and
Rachel Lee led the team with scores of 9.4 and tied for fourth.
Valerie Cohen had a 9.35, with
Kaylee Pacunas adding a 9.325.

Rachel Lee placed first on the balance beam for the second time in three collegiate meets. Lee scored 9.55 and tied for first with Brockport's Lily Jagodzinski. Ithaca's
Kendra Balcerak was third on balance beam with a score of 9.525, a career-high score for Balcerak.

Kelly Nash led Ithaca with a fourth-place finish on bars and a score of 9.325.

Cohen and Harrington were second and third on floor exercise for Ithaca. Cohen scored 9.55 to take second and Harrington totaled 9.525 to take third. It was Cohen's second-straight week with a 9.55.

Harrington was the only all-around competitor in the meet and finished with a 36.500.

Sunday's meet marked the first of three straight weeks that Ithaca will take on Brockport, as the teams meet again next weekend at Cornell, and on Feb. 15 in Ithaca at the Harrriet Marranca Memorial Invitational.
