ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College football team moved up into the top-15 of both prominent national polls. In the Sept. 29 edition of the American Football Coaches Association Division III Poll, Ithaca stands 13th, a two-spot improvement over the first poll of the season. Ithaca is ranked 15th by D3football.com in the Sept. 28 rankings, another two-spot improvement from the previous poll.
Ithaca won 17-6 at Alfred on Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the Empire 8. It is the third year in a row and fourth time in the last five seasons that the Bombers have started the year with three straight wins.
Ithaca returns to Butterfield Stadium this Saturday, Oct. 4, for a 1 p.m. home game against Utica. The Pioneers are 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the Empire 8.
