Results DELAWARE, Ohio – Junior
Emilia Scheemaker became a two-time all-American Saturday with an eighth-place finish in the women's triple jump at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Ohio Wesleyan.
Scheemaker hit 11.88 meters, a season-best mark, on her first attempt to earn one of nine spots in the finals. She did not better her preliminary performance in the finals, recording jumps of 11.45 meters, 11.57 meters and 11.72 meters, respectively.
Competing in the NCAA Championships for the fourth time in her career, Scheemaker became the
93rd all-American in program history – 41 have earned top honors indoor and 52 outdoor.
Scheemaker owns the
indoor and
outdoor school records in the event. Her first all-America performance was during the 2014 indoor season with a
fifth-place finish of 11.74 meters.
