ResultsROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca men's track & field team opened New York State Collegiate Track Conference outdoor championships competition Friday afternoon at St. John Fisher. The Bombers earned four individual and one relay All-NYSCTC accolade during day one of competition. Ithaca has nine advancing to finals on the track Saturday. Through seven events, Ithaca has tallied 21 points.
Senior
Jarrod Monacelli won the pole vault with a 4.25-meter clear. Classmate
Steven Episcopo placed sixth with a height of 4.10 meters.
In the long jump, sophomore
De'Marquis Graves had a 6.69-meter jump to place sixth and senior
Brennan Edmonds followed in eighth with a leap of 6.57 meters. Graves' jump was just one centimeter shy of the ECAC mark.
The Bombers' 4x800-meter relay team of sophomore
Larkin Bohanan, junior
Mason Mann, freshman
Brendan Davis and junior
Dennis Ryan clocked an ECAC-qualifying time of 8:05.52 to place fifth in the race.
Ithaca is advancing four to the finals in the 100 dash and three in the 200. Juniors
Tyler Curtis,
Rashaad Barrett and
Kevin Davis and sophomore
Aaron Matthias will race in the 100 finals, while Barrett, Davis and Curtis will also run in the 200 final.
Junior
Matt Femia will compete in the 400 final and Edmonds will race for points in the 400 hurdles final on Saturday.
The Bombers will conclude state competition Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
