Healy was elevated to the A's Double-A affiliate in Midland, Texas from the Class-A Advanced team in Stockton, California. He had 43 strikeouts against five walks, and allowed 20 hits and seven runs. Only three of the runs he allowed were earned. Healy was later promoted to Stockton where he made 15 appearances. In 19.1 innings he struck out 31 batters and issued just five walks and 13 hits. He allowed four runs, all earned, and had a 1.86 ERA.

Healy was selected in the 23rd round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. He finished his Ithaca College career with 16 saves, which tied the school record.
