WORCESTER, Mass. – The Ithaca College women's crew participated in the 2014 National Invitational Collegiate Regatta as part of the ECAC Championships on Lake Quinsigamond this past weekend.
The Bombers placed second overall in the petite final of the women's varsity 8. Ithaca finished in a time of 7:11.624. The team

Megan Barry took third in their respective heat with a time of 6:52.792 to advance. William Smith claimed the top spot with a time of 7:08.209 in the petite final, while Bates took first overall in the grand final with a finishing time of 6:51.316
The women's second varsity 8 placed third in their heat with a time of 7:10.434 to once again secure a spot in the petite final. The Bombers placed second, as the crew of

Maureen Gildea finished in a time of 7:15.062. Hamilton finished first in the petite final with a time of 7:12.358, while Bates once again claimed the top spot of the grand final with a time of 7:00.870.
Other Ithaca finishes included a first place finish in the second novice 8 (7:48.046), a fifth place finish in the grand final of the third varsity 8 (7:37.908) and a sixth place finish in the novice 8 (7:39.764). In the overall point standing the women finished fifth, while the combined score with the men placed Ithaca third overall in points.
