WORCESTER, Mass. – The Ithaca College men's crew participated in the 2014 National Invitational Collegiate Regatta as part of the ECAC Championships on Lake Quinsigamond this past weekend.
The Bombers placed fourth overall in the grand final of the men's varsity 8. Ithaca finished in a time of 6:05.669. The team of

Tyler Edwards took second in their respective heat with a time of 5:53.904 to earn a spot in the grand final. Hobart claimed the top spot with a time of 5:57.741, beating out second place Michigan (5:58.147) and third place Williams (6:04.696). Ithaca's fourth place finish in the varsity 8 was the best in 22 years of competition at the ECAC Championship. The Bombers' third seed was also the best in program history.
The men's second varsity 8 placed third in their heat with a time of 6:15.647 to secure a spot in the petite final. The Bombers placed fourth in the petite final, as the crew of

Other Ithaca finishes included a fifth place finish in the varsity 4 (7:16.345), a third place finish in the petite final of the third varsity 8 (6:32.307) and a fifth place finish in the novice 8 (6:29.511). In the overall point standing the men finished fifth, while the combined score with the women placed Ithaca third overall in points.
