Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College softball team lost to Rowan in its second game of the NCAA Ithaca Regional, falling to the Profs by a score of 7-1 at Kostrinsky Field. The defeat marks the Bombers' first loss of the double elimination format. Ithaca will now play in an elimination game on Saturday, May 10 for the right to play in the regional final. The win gives Rowan the first spot in the regional final and improves the team's overall record to 36-10. Ithaca is now 25-13 overall on the season.

Sam Bender was credited with the loss. She gave up five earned runs and recorded one strikeout in the first 4.1 innings of play. Sophomore
Laura Quicker closed the contest for the Bombers. She allowed two earned runs and struck out two in the final 2.2 innings. Sophomores

Francesca Busa each recorded a hit in the loss.
Rowan opened up the scoring with a single run in the top of the first, crossing home plate on two hits to jump out to a 1-0 lead. The Profs added to the lead with a huge fifth inning, as they scored four runs on six hits to go up by a score of 5-0.
With a runner on second and two outs in the bottom of the fifth, Busa sent a single up the middle to score the only Bomber run of the contest and cut the Rowan lead to 5-1.
The Profs added two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh, pushing their lead to 7-1 in the final inning. The Bombers weren't able to counter, giving Rowan the win.
Ithaca will play the winner of the Penn State-Altoona and Oneonta elimination game. First pitch for the Bombers is scheduled for 4 p.m.
