ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's and men's track & field teams will compete at the 2014 New York State Collegiate Track Conference outdoor championships Friday and Saturday at St. John Fisher. The women's team is on the quest for its sixth straight title. It has won 21 outdoor crowns dating back to 1987. The Bombers won seven titles in a row from 1987-93 and nine straight from 1998-2006. Ithaca, who won 10 events last year, notched 13 points in the state heptathlon on Sunday and Monday at RIT.
 
The men's squad has placed in the top three the last three years after claiming gold in 2009 and 2010. The Bombers have won three state championships and placed in the top three 14 times in Ithaca's 27-year involvement in the conference. Ithaca won five events en route to a second-place finish of 148 points in 2013.
