ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca College men's tennis senior Griffin Reid was named Empire 8 Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 6. Reid led Ithaca to three dual-match victories including home wins over Utica and Hartwick as Ithaca built its longest winning streak of the season.

Griffin Reid helped Ithaca to a perfect 3-0 week in Empire 8 dual matches and led the way near the top of the lineup. Reid won two matches at first singles against Utica and Hartwick and then won 6-4, 6-1 at second singles against St. John Fisher. He also teamed with Chris Hayes for a pair of wins at second doubles, with the duo claiming an 8-0 win over Hartwick and an 8-3 triumph at Fisher.

For the season, Reid is 6-9 in singles matches and 7-4 in doubles. Ithaca will travel to Nazareth on Tuesday and The College of New Jersey on Saturday this week.
