ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's crew opened the spring season with victories over Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology on the Cayuga Inlet. Ithaca competed under variable winds turning to head-wind at 1,000 meters. The Bombers finished first in all four events.
The varsity 8 finished the first race of the day in a time of 7:12.1. The crew of

Maureen Gildea guided the second varsity 8 to another Ithaca victory. The Bombers finished in a time of 7:22.9, besting RIT and Rochester. Ithaca also picked up wins in the women's 8 and the frosh/novice 8.
