ResultsROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team was represented Monday at the New York State Collegiate Track Conference decathlon championship at RIT. The duo completed the event after participating in five events on Sunday.
Sophomore
Ndue Palushi finished ninth, one spot out of scoring position, with a 4,814-point performance and freshman
Tyler Denn-Thiele followed in 13th place with 3,986 points. Both recorded career-best showings.
Palushi clocked a 19.11 finish in the 110-meter hurdles, threw 21.72 meters in the discus, cleared 3.15 meters in the pole vault, had a 28.09-meter javelin toss and rounded out the decathlon with a 4:34.56 finish in the 1,500 run.
Denn-Thiele finished the hurdles in 22.40, had a 22.51-meter throw in the discus, cleared 3.65-meters in the pole vault – the fourth best performance of the day, threw the javelin a distance of 33.95 meters and clocked a 5:03.30 finish in the 1,500.
The Bombers will compete Friday and Saturday, May 2-3 at the NYSCTC Outdoor Championships hosted by St. John Fisher.
