Men's Crew Places First In Varsity 8

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Ithaca College men's crew claimed victory in the varsity 8 over the weekend, as the Bombers competed against Williams and the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) on Lake Onota in Massachusetts. All teams raced under rainy and cold conditions with calm water.

Darvin Perez (coxswain), Matthew Kurz, Erik Frid, Chris Noble, Andrew Voorhees, Paul Casey, Ethan Freedman, Charlie Enright and Tyler Edwards guided the varsity 8 to victory. Ithaca finished in a time of 6:12.4. Williams took a close second with a finishing time of 6:14.6, while the USCGA placed third with a time of 6:34.3.

The Bombers came in second out of three crews in the second varsity 8, as the team of Ryan Myers (coxswain), Joseph Allegra, Devin Dyson, Keith MacDonald, Taylor LeBlanc, Jake Korinko, Dan Brauchli, Branden George and Drew Erskine finished in 6:21.2. Williams place first with a time of 6:18.5, while the USCGA placed third with a time of 6:45.7.

Ithaca also took first in the men's third varsity 8, finishing in a time of 6:50.6 to beat out second place Williams (7:03.4). The Bombers capped the day with a third place finish in the frosh race.
