Women's Crew Competes On Lake Quinsigamond

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Ithaca College women's crew competed against Trinity, William Smith, New Hampshire, Colby and Connecticut College on Saturday. All boats raced under an 11 mph tailwind.

The women's varsity 8 took second out of six crews, finishing in a time of 6:46.37. The team of Lindsey Miller (coxswain), Krista Syracuse, Julie Schaeffer, Delaney Pfohl, Jennie Peterson, Emily Morley, Carrine Putnam, Stevie Theoharidis and Anna Schenk placed just behind first-place Trinity, as the Bantams finished in a time of 6:43.5. William Smith finished third with a time of 6:48.7, while New Hampshire (7:02.69), Colby (7:03.08) and Connecticut College (7:03.08) rounded out the competition.

The Bombers placed third in the second varsity 8, as the team of Rachel Weinberg (coxswain), Dominique Lessard, Abigail Foxen, Lindsay Beatty, Megan Barry, Alexandria O'Neill, Erin McNaughton, Katie Ely and Maureen Gildea finished in a time of 7:11.54. Trinity once again took first with a time of 6:54.2, while William Smith claimed second with a time of 7:05.81.

Ithaca's third varsity eight placed second in its respective race with a time of 7:27.63. The Bombers' fourth varsity eight also competed in the race, finishing in a time of 7:34.2 taking third. Ithaca finished the day with a fourth place finish in the frosh/novice 8.
