ITHACA, N.Y. -- After winning 15 of its last 16 games, the Ithaca College baseball team is ranked 25th in the latest national polls by the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com. Also, it was announced Wednesday morning that the team will play today, April 16, at the University of Rochester at 5 p.m. These teams were initially scheduled to meet in Ithaca on Tuesday.
Since starting the season with a 4-4 record through its first eight games, Ithaca has been victorious 15 times in its last 16 outings to improve its overall record to 19-5 on the year. Most recently, Ithaca completed a four-game Empire 8 series sweep of Utica and carries a five-game winning streak into tonight's contest. This weekend, Ithaca will take on 13th-ranked St. John Fisher for a four-game conference series with doubleheaders Friday and Saturday.
