No. 15 Ithaca Women's Lacrosse Picks Up Seventh Straight Victory at Alfred

Box Score ALFRED, N.Y. – The 15th-ranked Ithaca College women's lacrosse team (8-4, 4-0 Empire 8) picked up its seventh straight victory with a 19-1 win at Alfred (1-7, 0-4 Empire 8) Sunday afternoon.
 
Ithaca posted 15 first-half goals and added four in the second as 12 student-athletes scored for the Bombers.
 
Sophomore Ally Runyon matched a career-high to lead the game with five goals. Junior Emily Peters, sophomore Riley Marion and freshman Morgan Racicot each scored twice and recorded one assist. Freshman Morgan Cadwell also had three points on one goal and two assists. Junior Delaney Gilson and sophomore Taylor Purvis each tallied one goal and one assist. Senior Becky Guzzo dished out a pair of assists.
 
Juniors Natalie Lang, Molly Fischer and Ali Woller, sophomore Erika Johnson and freshman Gaby Berne accounted for the Bombers' other five scores. Sophomore Mackenzie Robinson had one assist.
 
Marion and freshman Olivia Oppenheim won three draws each. Defensively, Marion had two caused turnovers. Freshman Emily Ross picked up the win in goal making two stops in the first 30 minutes. Senior Brittany Romano had two saves in the second.
 
The Bombers outshot Alfred 36-6 and won 15 of the 22 draw controls. Ithaca led the ground ball count 16-10.
 
The Bombers return to action Friday traveling to Stevens Institute of Technology for a noon game.
