INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ithaca's
Grace Ayer was the lone member of the Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team to compete on the third day of the NCAA Championships.
Ayer placed 21st overall in the morning sessions of the 100-yard backstroke, finishing the preliminaries in a time of 57.44 to set a new program record. Her time beat out her previous record of 57.59 that was set at the UNYSCSA Championships last month. Ayer will see action one more time this season, as she is scheduled to race in the 200-yard backstroke on Saturday, March 22. After 29 events, the Bombers rank 38th overall in team scoring.
