Shnider Named To NFHCA Scholars Of Distinction List

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced its Division III Scholars of Distinction list on Thursday. The NFHCA named Ithaca's Laurel Shnider to the list, making her one of the 131 athletes to make the cut. The student-athletes recognized as Scholars of Distinction achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year.

Shnider, an exercise science major, started 18 games for the Bombers on defense. She was part of a defensive unit that was among the best in the conference, allowing just 2.00 goals per contest.
