INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Ithaca College women's basketball team (20-4, 12-1 Empire 8) ranks first in the NCAA East Region Rankings for the 2013-14 season. The NCAA regional rankings released Wednesday are based on the same criteria used to select and seed teams for the NCAA playoffs. Ithaca, who has played two top-five teams this season, is receiving votes in the latest WBCA and D3Hoops.com polls.

The Bombers, who rank first in the Empire 8 standings, are on a 12-game winning streak.

Ithaca will conclude regular-season action Saturday, Feb. 22 at Alfred.
