ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team scored 146 points en route to winning its seventh straight Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field Championship Saturday at Glazer Arena. Ithaca has won eight of the 11 crowns contested.
Claiming a pair of the meets' 15 events, Ithaca had nine individuals earn All-Empire 8 honors. Two Bombers hit ECAC qualifiers during the meet.
The Bombers took one-two in the 60-meter dash. Juniors
Rashaad Barrett and
Kevin Davis clocked finishes of 7.04 and 7.20, respectively. Barrett's time set an Empire 8 Championship record and qualified him for the ECAC Indoor Championships.
Ithaca's second ECAC qualifier came with a runner-up finish by sophomore
De'Marquis Graves in the triple jump. He finished with a mark of 13.98 meters.
Sophomore
Aaron Matthias won the 200 dash in 22.97. Three others had runner-up finishes on the track. Senior
Brennan Edmonds raced to a 51.41 finish in the 400, junior
Dennis Ryan clocked a time of 1:59.77 in the 800 and rookie
Sean Phillips completed the 5,000 in 15:29.70.

Steven Episcopo shared runner-up accolades in the pole vault, both with clears of 3.80 meters.
The Bombers return to action Friday, Feb. 7 hosting the Bomber Quad at 5:30 p.m.
