Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's basketball team dropped a home contest to Hamilton Tuesday evening, falling to the Continentals by a score of 76-54 at Ben Light Gymnasium. The loss drops the Bombers' overall record to 2-6. Hamilton improves to 8-2.

Ithaca shot 41.2 percent in the contest, hitting 21-of-51 shots from the floor. The Bombers shot 6-for-24 (25 percent) from beyond the arc, and 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) from the charity stripe. Ithaca dominated in the paint, netting 30 points to Hamilton's 20.

Freshman
Marc Chasin led the Bombers with 16 points in 29 minutes. He also paced the team with six assists and two steals in the start. Senior
Keefe Gitto collected a team-high nine rebounds, combining with nine points to fall just short of the double-double. Senior
Max Masucci chipped in with seven points, while sophomore
Joe Masino led all players off the bench with six points.

The Continentals jumped on Ithaca early, opening the first half on a 14-6 run in the first seven minutes. Ithaca battled back to tie the contest, capping an 8-0 run with back-to-back three pointers from Masino and sophomore
Carlin Champion. Despite the Bomber rally, Hamilton regained its lead and built on it in the closing minutes of the first, sending the game to halftime with a score of 37-23 in favor of the Continentals.

The Bombers cut into the Hamilton lead with five-straight points to start the final frame. After a Chasin layup, freshman
Carroll Rich hit a free throw to complete a three-point play just one minute into the second. Hamilton answered with a 7-2 run, putting the score at 45-30 to increase the Continentals' lead to 15.

Ithaca was able to rally once again, as the Bombers scored eight-straight points. A made free throw from Gitto completed a three-point play, capping the run to put the score at 45-38 in favor of Hamilton. Ithaca was unable to get any closer in the second half, as Hamilton ran away in the final 16 minutes to give the Continentals a 76-54 victory.

The Bombers return to action on Friday, Jan. 2 in the first Empire 8 game of the season against Elmira. The home contest is slated to start at 8 p.m.Â
