Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Ithaca College football team limited Brockport to 56 yards in the first half and 234 yards in the game in a 24-14 win at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 1. Brockport entered the game averaging 31 points and 438 yards per game.

Ithaca took over sole possession of second place with the victory and improved its overall record to 6-2, and a 5-2 record in the Empire 8. The Bombers will travel to nationally-ranked and first-place St. John Fisher for a 1 p.m. game on Nov. 8. The winner of that game will win the Empire 8's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament. Brockport is 5-3 overall and 3-3 in the Empire 8.

Ithaca built a 10-0 lead in the first quarter on a 33-yard field goal from
Garrett Nicholson and a 1-yard touchdown run from
Josh Oliver. Oliver handled the majority of the rushing duties and had career-highs in rushes (28) and rushing yards (166). It is the highest single-game rushing total by an Ithaca running back this season.

Ben Cary caught two touchdown passes in the third quarter as Ithaca extended its lead to 24-7. The first score covered eight yards and the second was from five yards out.

Brockport added a touchdown with 3:06 left in the fourth quarter and attempted an onside kick, but it was fielded by Ithaca's
Chris Bauer. Ithaca forced the Golden Eagles to spend their timeouts before punting away to Brockport. The Golden Eagles drove deep into Ithaca territory but
Malik Morris intercepted a pass in the endzone to clinch the victory. It was the first interception of his career.

Marc Recio led Ithaca with eight total tackles and
Logan Murphy, Rob Barbieri and
Kenneth Bradley had seven tackles each. Barbieri had two sacks.

Ithaca ran for 162 yards and passed for just 95 yards. Cary had four catches for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Vito Boffoli had four catches for 43 yards.

* Ithaca punter Mike Lopez had eight punts, and three were downed inside of the 20 yard line to help the Bombers hold an advantage in field position.

Anthony Domenick intercepted a pass by Brockport receiver Andrew Mrozek in the first half. It was Domenick's team-leading third interception of the year.
