Senior Frank Mitchell paced the Bombers with a career-high 30 points, adding 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season to go along with two steals and a block. Mitchell's offensive output marked the first Bomber to break the 30-point plateau since Tom Sweeney netted 32 in a 110-96 win over Utica on Feb. 18, 2012.

Freshman Joe Masino also set a career high, adding 13 points in his first career start. Junior Max Masucci scored nine points off the bench, marking a season high to go along with four assists.

The Bombers shot 32.8 percent from the floor in the loss, hitting 20-of-61 shots. Ithaca hit 24 free throws on 30 attempts, connecting on 80 percent of their shots from the charity stripe. Alfred connected on 32-of-71 shots, shooting 45.1 percent from the floor.

After a brief Bomber lead to open the game, Alfred went on a 14-4 run to jump out to a 14-6 lead just over five minutes in. Ithaca battled back, taking a 24-23 lead with 7:18 to go in the first half. However the Bombers' lead was short-lived, as the Saxons pulled in front and closed the opening stanza on a 24-12 run.

The Saxons continued to roll in the second half, outscoring the Bombers, 47-31, resulting in a 94-67 win for the Saxons.

Ithaca hits the road to face Utica on Saturday, Jan. 11, facing off against the Pioneers at 2 p.m. at the Clark Athletic Center.
