OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's cross country team opened collegiate competition Saturday at the Oswego Invitational. The Bombers, who were resting their top six runners, placed fifth out of 13 teams. Ithaca's four returners all clocked personal-best times on the 8-kilometer course.
Sophomore
Larkin Bohanan placed 24th out of 162 runners with a finish of 27:06.00, while rookie
Shane Connor followed in 27th with a 27:18.30 finish.
Freshman
Jesse Capellaro was 39th with a time of 27:32.10. Junior
Steve Derderian was the fourth Bomber to cross the finish line finishing 42nd in 27:38.40. Sophomore
Shai Ben-Dor followed in 43rd in 27:38.60.
Freshman
Jake Morales and sophomore
Ben Grove rounded out Ithaca's top seven. Morales ran 48th in 27:48.10 and Grove 58th in 28:01.00.
Ithaca will return to the course on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational.
