ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Freshman Katie Lass was named the Empire 8 Defensive Player Of The Week Monday afternoon. Lass had a dominate day on Saturday, turning away 28 shots in a 3-2 loss to Stevens. She set a career high in the contest. In the last two games, Lass has recorded 46 saves.

She currently leads the Empire 8 with a .866 save percentage, while her 1.91 goals-against-average ranks third in the conference. She is also tied for the league lead with 71 total saves on the year. Ithaca's next game is a road contest at Utica. The contest is set to start at 4 p.m.
