Box Score
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team (5-0, 1-0) defeated Elmira (0-3, 0-1) Saturday afternoon, shutting out the Soaring Eagles by a score of 4-0 at Higgins Stadium.

Four different players scored for the Bombers, as sophomore Olivia Salindong, junior Amber Foose, senior Lindsay Flanagan and freshman Kelly Consadine all recorded goals in the victory. Freshman goalkeeper Katie Lass (5-0) didn't allow a goal in the win, giving the Bombers their second-straight shutout.

Salindong opened the scoring just under 10 minutes into the first half of play. She took possession of the ball after a scrum in front, poking a shot past the Elmira goalkeeper for an early 1-0 Ithaca lead. Flanagan added an insurance goal in the 20th minute, scoring on a feed from freshman Colleen Keegan-Twombly in front of the Elmira net.

The Bombers scored their first goal of the second half in the 47th minute to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Foose accepted a pass from Salindong on the near side and fired a shot to the back of the net for her second goal of the season.

Consadine capped the scoring with a goal in the 51st minute, giving Ithaca the 4-0 victory. The win marks the third-straight season the Bombers have opened conference play with a victory.

Ithaca is back in action on Sept. 18 in an out-of-conference road matchup against Oneonta. The game is set to start at 4 p.m.
