Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College men's soccer team (0-1) dropped the opening game of the 2013 season Saturday afternoon, falling to the Oneonta Red Dragons (1-0) by a score of 1-0 in overtime at Carp Wood Field.
Sophomore
Kenny Chapman stopped six of the seven shots he faced, including five in the second half. Chapman's save total tied his career best at home, with his last six-save effort coming in a 0-0 tie against Scranton on Sept. 25, 2012.
The Bombers recorded two shots on goal, including one each from junior
Max Bjork and freshman
Sam Boylan. The only goal of the game came just 3:25 into the overtime session. Oneonta took advantage of a breakaway on a long pass, scoring in the 93rd minute for the victory.
Ithaca returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 4 with a 7 p.m. home game against Rensselaer at Higgins Stadium.
