ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team opened its 2013-14 indoor season at the Cornell Relays Saturday at Barton Hall. Junior Rashaad Barrett placed fifth to snap a three-year old 60-meter dash school record.

Barrett ran 6.95 in the finals to meet the ECAC qualifier and rewrite Max Orenstein's former record of 7.04 from Dec. 4, 2010.

Senior captain Brendan Wilkins also met an ECAC qualifier clearing 1.94 meters in the high jump to place 10th.

The Bombers had two additional top-10 finishers. Sophomore Ndue Palushi tallied 3,785 points in the heptathlon to finish eighth and rookie Stephen Gomez placed 10th in the 3,000 run with a finish of 9:00.06.

The Bombers return to action Jan. 18 at the Ramapo College Indoor Select at the Armory.
