Mindy Quigg Named Ithaca Journal's Female Coach Of The Year

ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College women's soccer coach Mindy Quigg was named the 2013 recipient of the Ithaca Journal's Kenny Van Sickle Award as Female Coach of the Year earlier this week. Quigg led the Bombers to the NCAA Elite Eight for the fifth time in seven seasons and the first time since 2011. She also led Ithaca to 19 wins in 2013, tying the program record.

Quigg was named the Empire 8 Co-Coach of the Year and guided the Bombers to the E8 Championship with a 3-1 win over Nazareth. The win gave Ithaca the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, marking the Bombers' 11th-straight trip to NCAA postseason play.

This year marks the fourth time in Quigg's career that she has earned the Kenny Van Sickle Award. She also earned the honor in 1998, 2007 and 2009. In 20 seasons as coach of the Bombers, Quigg has compiled an overall record of 281-84-45.
