Ithaca Volleyball Team in the Hunt for Fifth Empire 8 Title

HOBOKEN, N.J. – The fourth-seeded Ithaca College volleyball team (16-21) will travel to top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology (26-6) Saturday, Nov. 9 for the semifinal round of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament at noon. Fans are invited to visit the tournament site for additional information.

The other semifinal match will feature the second-seeded Nazareth Golden Flyers (27-8) and the third-seeded Elmira Soaring Eagles (21-11) to be played at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The championship match will be played at noon Sunday.

The Bombers have won four championships to date, the most recent coming on their home court in 2010.

The Ducks own a 9-2 record over the Bombers in a series dating back to 2006. Stevens most recently claimed a 3-1 (25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 25-10) victory over Ithaca on Sept. 20 at Hartwick.
