ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College football team won the Empire 8 championship for 2013 and has earned automatic qualification to the 2013 NCAA Division III Football Championship. Ithaca will find out its first-round opponent and game location at tonight's selection show, which will be streamed online at NCAA.com beginning at 6 p.m.

The 32-team bracket will be played over five rounds leading to the Stagg Bowl in Salem, Va. on Dec. 20. The first four rounds of the tournament will be conducted at campus sites. Ithaca is making its 18th appearance in the Division III tournament and has a 27-14 record in 41 NCAA games, including national championships in 1979, 1988 and 1991. Ithaca has played in the Stagg Bowl for the national championship seven times.
