COOPER RIVER, N.J. – The Ithaca College men's crew team closed out its fall season over the weekend, competing at the Frostbite Regatta and the Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta in Cooper River, N.J.
On Saturday, five Ithaca boats raced in the Frostbite Regatta. Ithaca's varsity eight competed in the third flight of the day. The Bombers finished in fourth place out of five crews, completing the course in a time of 6:06.6. Of the 16 participants over three flights, Ithaca finished fifth.
Two Bomber crews competed in the college men's F/N races. Ithaca's "A" boat earned a second place finish in its flight, finishing in a time of 7:09.48. Ithaca's "B" boat finished its flight in a time of 7:39.34, earning a third place finish.
On Sunday at the Bill Braxton Memorial, the varsity eight completed its 2000m course in a time of 6:06.6 to earn a third place finish. Ithaca's "A" novice crew finished first in its flight, gaining the top spot with a time of 6:58.32. The Bombers also earned a first place finish in the "Dad Vail" lightweight eight, finishing in a time of 6:19.82.
Ithaca is back in action on May 29, 2014 at the Cayuga Duals.
