ITHACA, N.Y. -- The 16th-ranked Rochester Yellowjackets (11-2) scored back-to-back goals in the latter stages of the first half to take a lead and went on to a 4-1 win over the Ithaca College (7-4) field hockey team Tuesday night at Higgins Stadium.
It was an evenly-played game over the first 25 minutes before the teams combined to score four times in the last 10 minutes of the first half. Rochester opened the scoring with a goal off of a deflection in the 28th minute, and followed with another goal just 42 seconds later. The Bombers replied with a goal in the 31st minute.
Danielle Coiro scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season on an assist from
Lindsay Flanagan to bring the Bombers back to within one.
Rochester responded with a late first-half goal and added an insurance tally in the second half to close out the victory.

Katie Lass made 10 saves. Rochester held a 23-10 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in penalty corners.
The Bombers return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. at Houghton.
