ITHACA, N.Y. – Freshman Kimberley Wong of the Ithaca College women's golf team has been named Empire 8 Women's Golfer of the Week following her performance at the Williams Fall Classic. Wong led Ithaca in the opening round with a career-best score of 77, matching her low 18-hole round earlier in the year at St. Lawrence. She added an 81 in the second round for a two-day total of 158 and placed tied for 10th overall among 80 individuals who competed in the tournament.

Ithaca has won each of the Empire 8's weekly honors for women's golf this season and continues its 2013-14 campaign by competing at the Pat Clouse Invitational hosted by Wittenberg in Springfield, Ohio this weekend.
