SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's crew team had a strong performance at the Head of the Fish regatta Saturday. The varsity 8 finished seventh, closing margins on Rochester and William Smith with a finish time of 13.44.86. UMass took the top spot, finishing in a time of 13.08.37.
Ithaca's second varsity 8 finished eighth overall, completing the course in a time of 15.01.81. Williams College finished first, completing the race in 13.52.04.
The novice 8 earned a fourth place finish out of 31 entries. The Bombers finished in 14.57.58. UMass took the top spot with a time of 14.07.64, while Williams (14.42.18) and Wesleyan (14.50.03) rounded out the top three in the novice category.
The varsity 8 split into two groups for races later in the day. Ithaca's A boat earned a fifth place finish with a time of 15.07.34, while the Bombers' B boat took 18
th out of 32 entries with a time of 16.13.00. Ithaca's A boat was comprised
