HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team (8-4, 2-2 E8) defeated Houghton Saturday afternoon, beating the Highlanders by a score of 4-1 at Burke Field. Juniors

Kelly Consadine all scored for the Bombers.
Freshman goalkeeper
Katie Lass started the contest, stopping 4-of-5 shots in just over 65 minutes of play. Sophomore
Blaire Janney played the remainder of the game, not allowing a goal in the final 4:46 of play.
The Highlanders scored first, netting a goal just 1:36 into the game to jump out to the early 1-0 lead. It didn't take long for the Bombers to respond, as Foose evened the contest in the eighth minute on her third goal of the season.
The Bombers took the lead just over 10 minutes later. Coiro scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season on a feed from senior
Andrea Pace to put the score at 2-1.
The Bombers dominated in the second half, scoring the only two goals of the final frame. Flanagan scored her sixth goal of the season in the 51st minute before Consadine iced the game with a fourth Bomber goal at 61:05.
Houghton wasn't able to solve the Ithaca defense for the remainder of the second half, giving the Bombers a 4-1 victory.
Ithaca returns to action on Oct. 15 in a non-conference matchup with William Smith at Higgins Stadium. The game is set to start at 5 p.m.
